Jesu Jacob — Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Jesu leads the strategic direction and daily operations of Community Work Australia, drawing on over 15 years of experience across the community services sector. His background in social work, education, and sector development informs his leadership and ongoing advocacy for community work professionals. Jesu collaborates with government agencies, education institutions and service providers to promote quality practice and professional recognition across the field. He is deeply committed to strengthening the sector through partnerships, policy engagement and initiatives that support skilled, ethical practitioners nationwide.

Liz Stumbles

Liz Stumbles — Manager of Membership Services

Liz brings a diverse professional background to her role as Manager of Membership Services, combining experience in assessments, operations and international trade. With a strong foundation in strategic service delivery, she works to ensure Community Work Australia members are supported, recognised, and connected to the profession. Previously leading our assessments function, Liz offers a deep understanding of member pathways and professional standards. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in International Business from Swinburne University of Technology.

Erin Beigy — Manager of Assessment Services

Erin brings over 15 years’ experience in education, migration, and skills recognition to her role as Manager of Assessment Services at Community Work Australia. With a background spanning government and not-for-profit sectors, she leads the assessment of internationally and domestically qualified practitioners to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of the community work sector. Erin is committed to service excellence, continuous improvement, and enhancing the experience of applicants. She holds degrees from the University of Melbourne and Australian National University, and has a passion for building high-performing, collaborative teams.

Geoff Freeman – Manager of Quality Systems

Geoff has extensive experience across government, not-for-profit, and private sectors. Holding degrees in Economics and Social Work, along with qualifications as a Quality Management Systems External Auditor and in Training and Assessment, he brings both strategic and practical expertise to his role. Geoff leads the development of systems and processes aligned with ISO standards, supporting Community Work Australia’s commitment to strong, efficient, and accountable operations.

Thomas Hounslow — Manager of Communications

Thomas leads Community Work Australia’s communications strategy, shaping how the organisation engages with members, professionals, and stakeholders across digital and traditional channels. With a background spanning journalism, financial services, and public health, he brings a sharp editorial eye and a strategic mindset to every project. Thomas has held senior content and communications roles at RACV, ANZ, Suncorp, and Fairfax Media, and is passionate about clear, purposeful communication that reflects the values of Community Work Australia.
