Step by step application process
If you deliver a diploma or higher education course in community services or a related discipline, you can apply to have it accredited by Community Work Australia.
Below, we outline the step-by-step process and what you’ll need to prepare.
Submit your documentation
To submit an online application, you will first need to create a login. Please ensure you upload all of the required documentation, including your course delivery structure and outline, staff matrices, student resources, and fieldwork arrangements. This allows our assessment team to assess the suitability of your program delivery against the Community Work Australia guidelines.
Initial review and clarification
The course accreditation team will review your submission and may contact you for clarification or to request additional information. This ensures the team has a clear understanding of how your course aligns with accreditation requirements.
Assessment and outcome
We undertake a thorough assessment of your course, examining curriculum, structure and delivery, staff suitability, fieldwork, and student resources. Based on this, we provide a final outcome — and where applicable, guidance for improvement.
Accreditation granted
Once approved, your course will be officially accredited. You’ll be granted use of the Community Work Australia accredited course badge, and your course will be listed in our public course finder. We’ll also provide information on ongoing requirements, including annual updates and notification of major changes.
