Qualifications
- Colour scan of qualification certificate (or letter of completion). This is the document that shows that the qualification has been awarded and the date of completion.
- Colour scan of transcripts. This is the document that shows the subjects studied and the results for each unit.
- For graduates of Community Work Australia accredited courses and recognised relevant qualifications, a colour scan of a letter from your education provider showing details of fieldwork placements. This document shows evidence of total hours in at least two different placements.
- If applicable, a colour scan of your Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) transcript, or any additional transcript detailing units studied as part of another course used for credit transfer (CT).

Industry experience
- Updated resume with contact details of two referees
- Position description for current or most recent industry experience.
- Statement of service or letter from your employer which states the details of the position including title, type, whether part-time or full time, and start and end dates. The letter must be on a company letterhead and must include the full name, job title and contact details of the manager/HR officer who has signed the letter.

- Evidence of name change.
- Optional, Police Check Certificate (Get Community Work Australia discounted police checks here).
- Optional, Working With Children check.
Frequently asked questions
What if I don’t have all the documents?
If you think that you’re missing any of the documents, contact our team and we can help you find an alternative.
What if my documents are in a different language?
We only accept documents in English. If your document is in another language, you need to get it translated from a NAATI-certified translator before applying.
What if my details have changed?
If your details change while your application is in progress, contact our team with any change of information. If your membership is already approved, personal details can be updated in the member login area.
Do I need to get any documents notarised?
No documents need to be notarised for your membership application.
