Certificate of Attainment in Individual & Group Supervision

Offered by Supervision Training Services (STS).

This training program provides a framework for conducting and evaluating effective clinical supervision using a competency-based framework that incorporates reflective practice. Participants will develop skills to enhance supervisee learning and skill development, considering the systemic issues of their workplace/team and client group.

The 3-day face-to-face classroom work is broken into two phases: face-to-face training and formal assessment of supervision skills.

  • Theory and best practice
  • How to structure individual, peer and group supervision sessions
  • Issues in applying professional supervision
  • Ethical, legal and risk management issues
  • Resistant supervisees
  • Mental health issues and supervision
  • Note taking and record keeping
