Gambling Harm Minimisation Training

Offered by Responsible Gambling Fund as a community education initiative

This three hour workshop is to educate community workers who are not gambling harm experts on how to identify and respond to possible gambling issues that their clients are experiencing.

The workshops are delivered either online (webinar) or face to face and are delivered by experienced problem gambling counsellors.

Content covered includes:

  • the Australian context of gambling and gambling harm
  • how to identify potential gambling harm within an individual
  • psychosocial factors and co-morbid conditons that may accompany gambling harm
  • how to respond to a client who may be experiencing gambling harm, include providing education, outlining management strategies and providing referrals.
