How to apply

Create your login to begin the process and access the Community Work Australia membership application form. Within your account, you can submit and track your pending application, making it easier to manage each step of your membership journey.

Select the right membership option for you — professional or student. Fill the online form. We collect personal and contact details, such as:

• Address
• Qualification
• Role in the community work industry

You will need to upload supporting documents with the application form. The relevant documents prove your qualification and industry experience. They must be high-resolution colour scans of original documents. Photos, low-quality, blurry or cropped scans will not be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Pay the fee and submit your application. Application fees must be paid in full upon submission. For more information on the application fees, refer to our fees and costs. 

• Processing time: 2-4 weeks
• Approved applicants receive 12 months of membership.

If your application is unsuccessful, you can request an appeal or review. Read the Membership Review and Appeal Policy carefully before submitting the application form.

Your profile will also be added to our public listing. You can display your recognised qualification, job title and other relevant professional details publicly to help employers and clients verify your professional standing.

Prefer to keep your details private? Contact us and we’ll remove your details. If an employer wants to verify your professional standing, they can contact Community Work Australia directly for verification.
