The Australian child and youth wellbeing atlas

Description

The Australian Child and Youth Wellbeing Atlas is an online, publicly accessible tool that brings together a wide range of data on children and young people aged 0–24. It maps and visualises child and youth wellbeing across Australia to support better policy, research, and community decision-making.

Using interactive maps, charts, and datasets, it presents information across key domains such as health, education, safety, material wellbeing, participation, and culture. It allows users to explore, compare, and analyse wellbeing across communities in Australia. It is grounded in the evidence-based “Nest Wellbeing Framework". Designed for researchers, governments, service providers, and communities, the Atlas helps identify local needs, highlight inequalities, and guide targeted investment and policy responses, ultimately aiming to improve outcomes and promote equity for children and young people nationwide.
